A concept design promoting the AIGA design conference. Developing an aesthetic that complements the existing brand, and translating it across a variety of branded collateral for both print and online was the goal. Using all of the copy from the original conference materials, redesigning the overall look, feel, tone and sense of the conference brand was the challenge.

The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) is the largest and oldest professional organization for design. Its members practice all forms of communication design, including graphic design, typography, interaction design, branding and identity. The poster above was the basis of designs used in all other collateral materials for the new, hypothetical design conference titled, Design the Future of Now. Key speakers in this conference are leading and upcoming women in the design field, often overlooked by the male dominated industry.
Key graphic elements in the identity design include the classic combination of cyan, yellow, and black hues, a geometric flare, and typography as the main visual component. A complete list of collateral materials include a poster, postcard, an environmental graphic, two giveaway items, an easy online sign-up form, and digital advertisements. The future of design is sustainable, and all attendee's will receive a reusable tote-bag and mug to remember the conference by. Brand style and typographic consistency are maintained across all platforms.
Digital advertisements were created for desktop and mobile viewing in various formats in order to market the Design the Future of Now AIGA Conference.
